As of Fall, 2007, Starcherone Books has discontinued accepting submissions. Our entire 2008 and 2009 seasons have been determined, and we have begun to make commitments for projects in 2010. We regret that we cannot plan any further ahead at this time and can accept no manuscripts or publication queries until further notice. Please do not send us any manuscripts; they will be returned unread.

Starcherone is an all-volunteer non-profit dedicated to publishing work of the kind that mainstream profit-driven fiction publishers have largely ignored. Our mission is to uncover and publish the best in innovative fiction, as well as offering a venue for reprinting classic avant-garde texts, for the purpose of furthering education in and appreciation of innovative fiction and its traditions. To this end, we have offered a yearly contest for the past five years, as well as having an open manuscript period each Fall following the contest. We will continue to publish the books that these activities have brought to our attention. Please check this page in the future for an update on our submission procedures.
